These are the rules (as of 2022-12-29 13:59 GMT+2) of Equinox:
1. Cheating in-game with mods/proxies or anything else on the client-side giving you a very significant advantage is not allowed.
We're fine if you have a hack client in your mods folder, but please refrain from using it, and if we catch you doing so, you will be banned for 2 weeks with all items you have obtained completely cleared. You will also be requested to do community service and participate in building community projects.
2. No item duping is allowed, other than tnt, sand, gravel and concrete powder duping. We might make an exception so long as you provide a good reason for some dupe, and we think it is good enough.
3. Don't excessively spam, it is fine if you're extremely excited but trust me, most likely nobody cares about these messages so ideally you'd put them in DMs. That said tho, if you were warned by staff and continue to excessively spam (meaning you spam for no good reason and do it just because to spam), you may be muted for a few minutes or hours, depending on staff discretion. Your mute will last no longer than 6 hours, although 6 hours being on the very extreme end.
4. No griefing unless a war is officially declared and the terms are agreed upon, being:
· 1. Both or multiple nations may be able to grief each other, kill each other's members or steal from each other during this official wartime period.
· 2. War will last until the specific selected time period, and both sides must declare war, otherwise war cannot be started.
· 3. The wartime period must be signed by both/multiple parties. We may also ask confirmation from the leaders of these nations via platforms like Discord/Matrix/Minecraft
· 4. During wartime you may not attempt to kill or hurt any pets or animals of the other nations, and your food sources must arrive from your own nation or from agricultural sources. Doing this will result in a restraint from participating in wars, and attempting participate in wars after the fact will result in falling under non-wartime rules. We also use PetProtect to prevent pets from getting killed, but during wartime it is advised to keep all animals and pets safe from any attacks or any mobs like skeletons/creepers.
· 5. During wartime, you are not allowed to move to another nation and must participate in your nation till the very end of the wartime period.
· 6. Before declaring war, nations will be allowed to choose either a minimal-harm war or full-harm war. Minimal-harm being where grief is not allowed and the first wartime rule does not apply, and full-harm being where the first wartime rule does apply. Both nations, again, must agree, and if it is not agreed, minimal-harm will be chosen.
· 7. If you want to cancel a war, you can do so and the other nation or nations must do so too, but any consequences from the war is your own fault.
· 8. Please be friendly to each other and don't cause drama - remember, this is a BLOCK GAME. This wartime system is only there for fun <3
5. We don't allow toxicity, racism, sexism, lgbtq-phobic people, because none of these are justified and they are simply bad and unwanted behavior. You will be punished upon such action. Please seek help if you have such problems.
6. You are encouraged to use the Simple Voice Chat mod for communications, and in the #welcome channel we also feature the download link to the currently used version of the mod.
7. Any attempt to harm the server performance-wise on purpose in any way will result in a month-long ban, and any DDOS attempt that has been detected to be you will get you banned off the server permanently. If you can provide a good enough reason, you MIGHT be unbanned, but that is not certain and don't claim that as fact. This also falls under

4.2 Packets with the intent to "flood" or "denial of service" another host

4.4 Packets with the intent to break into another host or network
Failure to follow and enforce this code of conduct may result in account
or service termination. In severe cases a lawsuit might be filed.

8. You are not allowed to transmit any sexual (NSFW) content on the server, but harmless jokes are allowed. What isn't allowed is links, images, videos of NSFW content. This will get you banned indefinitely off the server, and only appeals after at least 30 days will be accepted. Anything below is automatically denied, and the period to wait is 15 days after each request, you are allowed to make only 3 requests in total until your waiting time is 30 days after each request. You will be banned permanently after failing to make 5 requests in total of this ban.
9. You are allowed to use Minimaps, World Maps, you can also use Freecam, but ONLY if you use it to look at things at the surface/from above. You are not allowed to try and search for caves using Freecam. Already searched areas/caves you are allowed to use freecam in.
10. Any mods that don't impact PVP, Minecraft walking, running, boating, minecart travel speeds, mining are allowed. Mods are allowed so long as they do not cause you to have a significant advantage. We don't care about a very small advantage, say, controlling boats with your mouse instead of your keyboard A/D keys, but if something like XRAY resourcepacks are used, they aren't allowed as they give significant advantages to you over other players. Ideally you would use the base game with some performance mods, like Optifine/Sodium. After all, this is an SMP.
11. You're not allowed to steal, burn, destroy or otherwise get rid of any content/items/builds that were not made by you or/and that you didn't get explicit permission to do so with this content.
12. Attempting to trick a staff member into performing a disallowed exploit either in an attempt to just make them break the rules, or in an attempt for you to get permissions, is disallowed. You will get a 2 week ban from the server for such an action, if undeniable proof is found.
13. Any attempt to bypass punishments will result in an indefinite ban from the server and appeal is only valid after 2 weeks of the incident.
